interview highlighted what the organization is doing to help the employees
achieve their desired career goals.
- First, the
organization understands the profile of the employee. The bio-data is
scrutinized to comprehend the strengths of the employee and the potential
within her to achieve. For example-an
employee who is technically strong has the potential of being the manager of
the company. Where as another employee
may have the hidden potential of reaching the level of CEO.
- Secondly,
the employee is questioned regarding where she can possibly reach in the next
5-10 years.
- Thirdly,
the immediate boss of the employee is asked about the performance of the
employee and the goals achievable by him.
After reviewing these three steps, then the career path of
the employee is designed. The
organization decides on the development programs and the foreseen training needs
of the employees. This helps the
employee reach the desired destination in life with a satisfying career.
